Performances Dates: November 9 – 12, 2017
The sixth annual BIGGEST little Theatre Festival at Brüka Theatre is a showcase for original theatre pieces featuring traditional and nontraditional performances created by local and regional performance artists. Some of these pieces have gone on to perform in National Fringe Festivals. This small festival features up to 4 performances a day over 4 days in our downtown Sub-Brüka space. Each performance is under 50 minutes in length. Groups receive a portion of the ticket sales.

STAR LIGHT, STAR BRIGHT

SYNOPSIS:
Star Light, Star Bright or Crazy Fucking Kincaid’s is a dreamscape that explores the cost of betrayal and the power of love. A brother and sister discovering secrets and learning to trust after a death in the family. Sometimes truth is not the kindest option. Grace and James have come home to settle their Mother’s estate and put her to rest. Before they can, they also have to deal with a childhood loss and the results of their present choices.

NUMU YADOOA!

SYNOPSIS:
Color. 158 minutes. Fleeing from wrongful imprisonment, Captain Johnathan Wilsby finds himself unexpectedly in Native territory. Though uneasy at first, eventually a truce is formed and Johnathan learns the ways of his new companions. But when a sudden betrayal occurs, The Captain must put his newfound skills to good use in order to conquer enemies old and new, and realize his dream of setting up a school on the reservation.

LAMBSTALES – TWELFTH NIGHT

SYNOPSIS:
This is readers theatre for the whole family, incorporating narration, theatrical tableau and the classic Shakespeare story: Twelfth Night. This theatrical interpretation is based on the stories from 1807, Tales of Shakespeare written by Charles and Mary Lamb. The stories are designed to make the stories of Shakespeare accessible to the young and old alike.

ABOUT BRÜKA THEATRE In its 25th season in downtown Reno, Brüka has been named "Best Theatre Company" by The News and Review nineteen years running. Brüka Theatre is a leader in the region, recognized for its productions, artists and theatre for children series since it's founding in 1992.
