Reno, NV.  Brüka Theatre presents A Doll’s House, Part 2 written by Lucas Hnath. The play begins with a knock on the door — the same door that was slammed shut in the
final scene of Ibsen’s 1879 groundbreaking masterwork.  Nora Helmer made the shocking decision to leave her husband and children, and begin a life on her own. This climactic event—when Nora slams the door on everything in her life—instantly propelled world drama into the modern age. In A Doll’s House, Part 2, many years have passed since Nora’s exit. Now, there’s a knock on that same door. Nora has returned after 15 years. But why? And what will it mean for those she left behind?

A Doll’s House, Part 2 continues Brüka’s “back after the Covid Shutdown” play-by play season.  The show plays for 17 total performances January 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 and February 3, 4, 5, 9 (A), 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19 at 7:30 PM with Sunday Matinees on January 30 & February 6*  at 2 PM. Enjoy a post show opening night champagne reception and a special opening night experience. The shows run Thursdays through Saturdays with evening shows at 7:30 pm with one Wednesday Artist Night ($17 Tickets) during the run. The Sunday matinee on December 12 is followed by a talkback with the company and audience.  The doors open a half an hour before curtain time.
